Grace Island is a 5.87 acre island exclusively used for group camping programs, one day picnics, family or corporate retreats. The rental pricing of the island is available here on our website. The camping accommodations can sleep up to 80 persons overnight.

Main Dock
This is the main ‘deep water’ dock for larger boats to dock when bringing groups to the island. This dock can also be used for swimming and fishing with fishing area restricted to the concrete dock portion and not the wooden bridge or railings.
Boat Dock
This is a “U” shape protected dock for groups’ emergency boats and where Grace Island boats are kept. This is where food supplies and props for camp groups are usually unloaded. It is generally off limits to campers except when tubing or kayaking off the side of this dock area. Groups bringing boats to the island should notify Word of Life one week prior to the group arriving, so dock space can be prepared for the boat.
Pavilion Area
This is the main outdoor meeting area which is set up for meetings, picnics, and group events. Provided in this area are 6 picnic tables with benches, a podium, benches to seat 75 people, fans, power outlets, lighting, and a charcoal barbeque pit. Sound system not provided.
Kitchen
Our purpose-built stainless steel kitchen provides all you will need to prepare and serve meals for your camp group on Grace Island. Two ovens, 6 burner range, flat grill top, deep fryer, large double door refrigerator, 2 chest freezers, microwave, coffee maker, sinks, prep table, large pantry and serving table with warming pans, plus all the pots and utensils for cooking (see inventory list for all cooking utensils).
Dining Room
Our spacious dining room has seating, tables & cutlery for 80 persons for meals, (total 120 chairs & 20 tables for other uses). Wireless internet is available in the dining room as well as a sound system and television with connection cables.
Bathrooms & Showers
Our spacious tiled bathrooms are part of the main camp building. Both men and women’s facilities have 6 showers & changing rooms in each, as well as toilets and urinals (see inventory list). We also offer outside rinse-off showers on the back side of the building for your convenience.
Tents with Cots
Eight large tents on with cement flooring are provided with 64 cots. A maximum of 8 cots fit in each tent. Our recommended ratio for tent camping is one adult counselor for 7 campers. Each tent has direct access to the camp field and main building for dining and bathrooms.
Hilltop Cottage
This is only available when renting the Island for a full week.
Cliff Diving
The eastern end of Grace Island has a designated area for cliff jumping (20ft jump) with a ladder and path back up the rock cliff. A lower springboard is also available for those not wishing to jump from the cliff height. Water shoes must be used in all swimming areas since the coral rocks are too dangerous for bare feet.
Camp Fire Site
Benches and firewood are available at the campfire area. Sufficient seating for 60 persons is provided. Campfires are not allowed in any other area and the island caretaker should be notified of a group’s lighting of a campfire.
Inside Bedrooms
Our main building has two bedrooms (one with 10 bunks and a second with 4 bunks) with sleeping for 14 persons. Each room has air conditioning available with some dress-drawer space.
